Musical Geometry

Cage The Elephant is a rock band from Kentucky whose members moved to England in 2006 to start their careers. They currently have four very successful albums out and are continuing to grow throughout the world. Here is a link to the band's website. The song I chose to study is Cigarette Daydreams of their album Melaphobia. I used the lyrics and music video for inspiration for my work.

The lyrics inspired my work because I pictured a lot of sadness throughout the song but as well a hint of hope. Nothing is fully sad and sometimes it's ok to wallow in sadness because it helps the soul get through problems.
